New Age Software is the solution to Resource Management Problems

Will live in the era of touch screens and iphones, where most things we need in our lives have an automated alternative. As a result, the world of resource planning has also noted a trend in companies leaving behind prehistoric processes of using spreadsheets and documents to schedule their employees, and adopt powerful, sophisticated software that automates their job, so they can complete it in a fraction of the time.
One of the most frustrating things for resource planners and managers is the sheer amount of effort that goes into organising their employees. Resource planners have to schedule and allocate employees and other resources to various jobs. They also need to calculate costs and revenues for their resources, and all that whilst also accounting for each individual’s skills, preferences and availability. This becomes especially challenging when resource managers have to produce reports for senior management which require accumulating, processing and presenting large amounts of data in a way that is intuitive and easy to understand. As one can imagine, this becomes a difficult, inaccurate and slow process – not to mention the fact that it places a large amount of pressure on the resource manager.
Despite all this, it is surprising to see how dependent companies still are on excel spreadsheets, word documents and email to do such work. In a world where efficiency is one of the top priorities of an organisation, using resource planning software is a must. One such software is SAVIOM Resource Management Software.

The Police Have a Secret Weapon – GPS

Police departments across the country are turning to GPS technology to track and apprehend criminals. The Global Positioning System is the latest secret weapon helping to control and reduce the incidence of criminal activity. Some departments have even set up an electronic surveillance section specializing in the ways in which GPS tracking can be useful to law enforcement.
Thanks to GPS devices thieves, drug dealers, sexual predators and killers have already been captured, often without a warrant or court order. As one would expect, privacy advocates argue that tracking suspects electronically constitutes illegal search and seizure and violates Fourth Amendment rights of protection against unreasonable searches and seizures, and that this is another step toward George Orwell’s Big Brother society.
By contrast, law enforcement officials, when they discuss the issue at all, say GPS is essentially the same as having an officer trail someone, just cheaper and more accurate. Most of the time, judges have sided with the police. Advocates of GPS explain that the police have no need to obtain a warrant to track suspects electronically on public streets because the device provides the same information as physical tracking. According to Attorney Richard E. Trodden, “A police officer could do the same thing with his or her own eyes. It helps to cut down on the number of police officers who would have to be out tracking particular cars.” As further evidence of its effectiveness, FBI agents successfully used a GPS device while investigating an embezzlement scheme to steal from District taxpayers, attaching one to a suspect’s Jaguar.
Compare – Shared Vs Reseller Hosting

So, you want to set up a website. Your first and foremost decision is to chose between buying a web server and all the supporting materials along with a network technician to run it for you, or to find a company whose business is to run websites and pay them a monthly fee to host your website on their equipment. This question, at least is a no-brainer: unless you are a big company going online for the first time (almost unheard of these kinds of days), you can not afford the capital investment to set up your own web server infrastructure. So you chose to rent server space of a web hosting company. Simple, right?
Not really. Once you begin shopping around for web hosting services, they have several different opportunities to choose from. One of the mostly big decisions to make is if you want shared or reseller web hosting. But how exactly is the difference?
In a nutshell, the change is scale. In shared hosting, you rent server space for a single website with a single domain name. You would pay a separate monthly fee for every additional website you set up. With reseller hosting, you rent a large amount of server space, divide it up among as a multitude of websites as you need, and then have the opportunity to resell the left during server space to other people to set up websites-essentially making you a hosting subcontractor. So which option should you choose? There are advantages and disadvantages to both, and we’ll examine each below.
