Hybrids as the Vehicles of Tomorrow
You’ve probably heard about hybrids at one point or another and how environmentally friendly they are. It refers to a fairly recent class of vehicles which has sparked the interest of many people around the globe. However, what exactly are they and what’s with the name that it dons?
Well first off; these types of vehicles are called hybrids due to the fact that they are fuelled by two distinct kinds of energy. More specifically, these two types of energy are comprised of electricity and conventional gasoline.

The only real problem here is the rising cost of gasoline fuel and the fact that such vehicles contribute significantly, to air pollution. On the other hand, electrically powered vehicles are the exact opposite. They produce no pollution once so ever but they are not as fast as other vehicles on the road. Electrically powered vehicles are also capable of impractically low mileage and it generally takes a long time for its batteries to recharge. Hybrid vehicles combine the best of both worlds in an innovative and efficient compromise.
The dream of pollution free vehicles is one that has been sought after by the automotive world for quite some time. This dream and the efforts to pursue it then turned into a necessity given the rising cost of gasoline fuel and worsening environmental conditions. More advanced vehicles powered by alcohol or hydrogen are still relatively at their development stage and no other class of vehicles right now are capable of addressing these needs other than the hybrids.
